!? HOW WILL A WISE INVESTMENT IN HUMAN RESOURCES RESULT IN ORGANIZATIONAL RESOURCES

In a research we carried out in cooperation with the research unit of Clalit Health Services, Dr. Tamar Itzikson of the Ben-Gurion University and Dr. Yaron Sela of the Hebrew University, with the participation of thousands of employees that underwent a one-day implementational training session to increase happiness, we examined the immediate, short-term and long-term impact of such training (3 months following the training). The research revealed a clear rise in the various measured standards, which exceeded the immediate impact and can be traced to implementation of the tools in the employees’ daily work routine. Employees and managers reported a general rise and improvement in satisfaction, sense of commitment to the organization, optimism, internal focus and control, gratitude and general well-being. The research results were presented at the 9th European Conference on Positive Psychology held in June 2018 in Budapest, as well as winning first prize in the National Human Resources Management Competition in 2016.
